Immediately following the two pre-season 2018 F1 tests in Spain, join Charlie Whiting, FIA F1 Race Director and Head of the F1 Technical Department for an evening hosted at the Williams Conference Centre, on 15 March.

This is a unique opportunity to hear Charlie’s inspirational story spanning 40 decades and promises to entertain with both behind-the-scenes stories and insights shared.

Starting out with his brother Nick, preparing saloon and rally cars near Brands Hatch and running Davina Gallica’s Surtees in British F5000 in 1976, Charlie then moved into F1 with Hesketh Racing the following year. In 1978, he joined Bernie Ecclestone`s Brabham team as Chief Mechanic to 1981/83 World Champion Nelson Piquet.

In 1988, Charlie became FIA Technical Delegate to Formula One and in 1997, FIA Director and Safety Delegate, still one of the roles he holds today.

You and your guests will have access to the magnificent Williams Grand Prix Collection of over 40 Williams’ race cars from 30+ years of F1 racing as well as help raise funds for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and Motorsport Foundation.

Enjoy a drinks reception followed by fine dining as you await Chris Aylett’s interview with Charlie after which, the audience may ask questions.
